Favorite Current Reads

I’m always looking for recommendations so I figured I’d make a list of my current favorites.

1. Fever Series – Karen Marie Moning

Told from a first person POV, you follow Mac as she hunts down her sister’s killer. If you like a slow building story that’s dark and gritty, this is a must read. As an entire series, it can be considered a romance as well. If you like alpha males, Barrons will probably make your top five.

I’ve read some people complain about not liking Mac. If you do read this, just keep in mind that Moning is an author who believes in a lot of character growth. Watching Mac grow throughout the series is one of my favorite parts of her writing.

2. Written in Red – Anne Bishop

I’ve never read a heroine like this before, or a world. This is so different and creative, you have to read it. I was sucked into this story by the first page. Her character development is off the charts. Her storyline is utterly unique.

3. Angelfall

I don’t like angel stories. I’m not sure why but they’ve never appealed to me which is why I was so shocked at how much I loved this story.

4. Kate Daniels

Everyone loves this story. If you haven’t gotten on the band wagon, you should go get a ticket. There’s a reason this is continually a best seller.

5. Chicagoland

This series gives you everything you want and exactly when you want it. I hope that makes sense!

  1. OMG we have almost the same list only instead of Angelfall I have the Night Huntress series with Cat & Bones.

  2. Oh and I also love the Spider series by Jennifer Esteph and the Jane Yellowrock series by Faith Hunter.

  3. Oh and I almost forgot one of my all time favorites the Charlie Daniels Grave series by Darynda Jones.
    Sorry about so many posts.

  4. Donna Augustine

Darynda Jones is another goodie! I was reading her but ended up dropping off in between books and haven’t gotten back to it yet.

  5. Night hundreds is a good one. I forgot that. Angel fall I passed over, dudnt think you’d like . I see you read the succubus but Washington it. I think it’s good.
I’ll keep looking through my list.

  6. Love your books. The humor and the build in each series always makes me want another one. Meghan Ciana Doidge is an author I really enjoy. I found you on a recommendation at the end of a Jaymin Eve book. I should send her a thank you! I’m stuck in bed most days and as my family says I eat books. You’re have been a gift so thank you!
