Suddenly Shifter Blog Hop

Categories: Uncategorized

Who doesn’t love a shifter? Well, there might be quite a few people, but for our purposes today, we’ll just pretend everyone loves shifters!

But the question is, who’s the furriest, I mean fairest of them all?  With so many great characters, it’s hard to narrow it down to just one. My personal front runners would be Simon, from Written in Red by Anne Bishop, and Curran, from the Kate Daniels Series by Ilona Andrews. But my absolute favorite can’t be named. Problem is, you don’t actually find out he’s a shifter until late in the series, and I hate spoilers!

So, if we have it narrowed down to Simon and Curran, it’s a really tough call. Simon is a wolf. Wolves are just cool and you’ve got the whole pack thing going for them. Curran is a lion though. Lions are the top of the food chain in the animal kingdom. If I had to pick one, and it can’t be my mystery character, I think Curran wins this one by a shifter hair.

And of course, this would be a really lame hop if it didn’t have some giveaways! I’m giving away a $10 Amazon Gift Card in honor of Curran. (You know, King of the Jungle, cash is king?) Make sure you check out the rest of the sites below for more giveaways!

There are so many awesome shifters and stories out there – who could choose just one LOL I do love the boys in Anita Blake’s series by Laurell K. Hamilton and of course there is always something exciting happening with the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs with absolutely no shortage of hunky shifter folk. Carrie Vaughn’s Kitty Norville series is a real hoot and again full of colorful awesome shifter characters. Thank you for participating in this fun hop, I am having a great time :)

So far, I like Mikael from Tia Fielding’s CHUFFED, Tryg from Sommer Marsden’s LION HEARTED, and Calum from JL Merrow’s SNARED.

  3. Amber

I have so many series that I follow and love the shifters from so its hard to just pick only one. Maybe Adam from the Mercy Thompson series?

  4. Cindy Mucha Barton

I can’t pick just one…they are like Lays potato chips, Can’t have just one. I am partial to Decibel from Quinn Loftis and Mason from Belinda Boring, course any one of the Pantera from Alexandra Ivy and Laura Wright would be fine too.

I’m not familiar with the shifters discussed in this post, but I would like to be. My introduction to PNR came in the form of Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter novels. I’m on book #22 now. I’m very cozy with my pard/pride/pack/flock/kiss of Hamilton book boyfriends. I have one for every mood I’m in! Sure- she writes in a lot of sex and violence, but they are necessary to the plot, not just erotic decoration. The sex equation is actually one form of checks and balances on the paranormal powers of the triumvirates. *Top Amazon Reviewer #6,149* bookwormpov (at) gmail (dot) com

Their are so many great shifters and series I love but I would have to go with Curran from Kate Daniels. He is just the perfect Alpha male.

  7. Sophia Rose

I am totally curious about your favorite unnamed one now. Haha! But Curran is certainly a boss shifter and good choice.

I don’t have one favorite. The first one I loved was Adam Hauptman from Patricia Briggs’ Mercy Thompson series.

    Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.

I can’t tell, lol : ) It would completely ruin the book! But if you decide you want the spoiler you can email me at donnaaugustinebooks at gmail dot com and I’ll spill the beans.

Although I love all of them, I’m going to say my favorite of them all is Foxx from the Feral Warriors series by Pamela Palmer.

  9. Michelle Willms

I love most all shifters, but so far, J.T. Geissinger’s Ikati are my very favorite (she has a new book coming out soon – check out her cover reveal on my blog today – not that I’d “pimp” her books, or anything…but yes, I would). She is an outstanding author.

Thanks for hosting the giveaway. Fingers crossed to win.

I don’t have a favorite type of shifter. Other than the Sookie Stackhouse and Twilight novels, I cannot recall reading any books with shifters until recently. I am hoping to widen my shifter reading by participating in this hop.

I have added The Keepers, Red by Anne Bishop and the Kate Daniels Series by Ilona Andrews to my TBR.
